Welcome! My name is Aisha Barnard and thank you for visiting my personal web and graphic design portfolio! I'm originally from Illinois, moved to the Twin Cities as an adolescent and received my high school diploma a few years later. Art has been a huge part of my life, as I constantly seek creative projects. I attended the Arts Institutes International Minnesota and have recently received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media. I'm seeking an entry-level position as a multimedia designer, interactive or web designer. I enjoy designing and creating websites, logos, creative graphics, prototypes, web designs, brochures, posters and any print media. I enjoy sketching my visual ideas to life and now would like to inspire you with some of my PORTFOLIO work. Apart to my passion for art and design, some of my hobbies include reading, drawing, painting and dancing. I like a variety of MUSIC which I like to listen online frequently. I enjoy attending local THEATERS, walking, jogging, biking, socializing with friends, just to name a few of many things.
My skills and art background can enhance a site design and make it come to life. I'm a designer and currently working to improve my skills so that I can create deliverable. assessible and user-friendly websites.

Responsibilities: This logo was created by me for an illustration class. The idea of this project was to focus on a concept of a restaurant. What depicts or represents the restaurant? The font choice was extremely important as I stayed with a sans serif font with is more fancier than serif font.

Responsibilities: This is the second of the three logos I created. I went for the fresh vegetable feel and a wine bottle in the middle. The font is fancy since this is an eloguent restaurant.
Responsibilities: I teamed up with another person to create a brand for a marketing class. Together we created three monkeys which is part of our brand. We used these monkeys to put on our labels and packaging.
Responsibilities: This poster was created for a play which was shown at the Guthrie Theatre last Fall. I created the poster in Illustrator.
Responsibilities: I created this book cover jacket. I hand-drew it and colored it in with colored pencils, scanned and placed it in Adobe Illustrator. I then put all the other text and book info..
Responsibilities: This peice was created in a drawing class. I was assigned to draw three items either in Illustrator or hand-drawn. I decided to hand-draw.

Responsibilities: This website was created by myself with the help of a WordPress template. It is my first Word Press site and quite happy how it turned out
Responsibilities: This website was created marketing class. I was responsible for the logo, creating the identity and color scheme.
Responsibilities: I created this peice in Adobe Flash. It included audio clip from a movie with incorporated movable typography.
Responsibilities: This was a group project. My part in this was preparing the images for the title sequence. I also sketched the original storyboard.
Responsibilities: I created this for my computer graphics class. After Effects was used to create a short animated movie about shapes in the city.
Responsibilities: This website was completed by 2 others students and myself. While I did not code this website, I helped design the website and also interviewed the instructor which was built based on her criteria.

Responsibilities:This is a menu created by me for Kahn's Mongolian Restaurant. The background was tea-bagged to create its elegant, unique texture. The font I used was important as I tried to stick closely to the brand and feel of this restaurant.
Responsibilities: This menu created by me in Illustrator. I took photographs such as the plate of food and front of the restaurant to complete this project.
Responsibilities: This peice was created by me for my print production class. I used a duotone in Photoshop, while it was created in InDesign. The images are original photos I took with my camera.
